South Lyon Recreation offers many Aquatics programs! The water temperature at the South Lyon High School pool is kept at 80 to 82 degrees. For your comfort and safety, please be sure that all swimmers have their hair tied back and are wearing one piece bathing suits.
New school and district policy requires everyone to shower before entering the pool. In the event of an electrical storm, all activities will be suspended or cancelled. If class is cancelled due to weather, mechanical failure, or other unexpected problems, an effort will be make to schedule a make-up. If it is not possible to provide a make-up time, no partial refunds will be given.
OPEN SWIM:
Children under 12 MUST be accompanied by and adult. Children under 4 feet tall MUST have parent/adult within arms reach! All open swim sessions are pay-as-you-go programs on a first-come, first served basis. In order to provide adequate supervision, South Lyon Area Recreation and lifeguards on duty reserve the right to limit the number of swimmers at any activity (at any time). Groups of 8 or more must call the Recreation Office at least 1 week in advance. Note: Times are subject to change. Any changes will be posted at the pool and online.
Open/Lap Swim Drop In Resident Fee: $2.50/person
Open/Lap Swim Drop In Non-Resident Fee: $3.00/person
Water Aerobics Drop In Resident Fee: $6.00/person
Water Aerobics Drop In Non-Resident Fee: $8.00/person
PRIVATE POOL PARTIES:
Pool and staf are available for private pool parties on Saturday afternoons. Contact the Recreation Office at least two weeks in advance to schedule. Fees are $75/hour plus $2.50 per person (10 person minimum, 25 person maximum). Additional fee for more than 25 people. |
