Champion Force Athletics is a fun and exciting cheer program for students ages 4 — 18 with or without previous experience. Students will learn jumps, kicks, arm motions, stunting, cheers and chants, and learn a pom dance routine. Students will learn the necessary skills needed for school cheerleading try-outs. This program works to build self confidence, poise, self esteem, and physical fitness.

We have contractually selected All Star Driver Education as the driving school to provide our SLARA students the safest and most cost effect driver education program.
All Star Driver Education has been offering our students their Segment One and Two classes for over 10 years at both South Lyon HS and more recently South Lyon East HS. They have a very engaging program that teaches students to become Safe, Trustworthy, Attentive and Responsible (S.T.A.R.) Drivers! SLARA offers classes that are educational to students and follow along with the STEAM program being taught in schools. Watch for classes and camps in our Spring/Summer 2019 Brochure.
Join us for a variety of fitness classes for ages 16+. We offer classes such as Zumba, Indoor and Outdoor Yoga, Pilates, Cardio and Strength, and Group Nutrition. Call some friends, put on some comfortable clothing, grab a mat, grab your water bottle, and join us!

This sport involves the performance of exercises requiring physical strength, flexibility, power, agility, coordination, and balance. Jayne Lapham has 30+ years of teaching experience. Jayne's accomplishments include 2nd in the MAG State Finals on the balance beam. She has competed in both the U.S. and Canada. Jayne teaches at Levels 1, 2 and 3 with smaller class sizes.

Martial arts aids in the development of character and mental strength. We offer Choi Kwang-Do and Tae Kwon Do for all ages. Classes are for ages 3 thru Adult and are taught in a family-friendly atmosphere.

SLARA offers a variety of classes that may not fit under a standard category. Classes such as archery, babysitting, cheerleading, GRASP, bowling, horseback riding, ice skating, and self defense to name a few.
NEW for Summer 2019! Discover the sport of Archery! This 6 week beginners' class will cover safety, the basics of shooting, techniques, and range time with no experience required. The fee includes equipment use.

Are you 11 years old or older and want to get certified for babysitting? Teens will learn great babysitting games, answers to common questions, how to stop sibling squabbling, meal time tips, first aid, diaper duties and much more! This class is guaranteed to be fun and exciting for all kids! Each participant will receive a certificate of completion through Heartbeat LLC and certification through the American Heart Association.

Do you want to create great memories with family and friends? Pinz Bowling Center is the destination for family fun. They feature 28 state of the art bowling lanes with automatic bumpers just for kids. They offer activities for all ages! Classes/leagues include Middle School Bowling Club, Family Doubles, Pizza Pals, Pizza Bumpers, and Zookeepers Bowling.

It's that time again! Summer GRASP packets for the kids are available to order. Packets need to be ordered by April 24, 2019.
GRASP is a 9 week correspondence program for grades K-8 which helps students maintain reading and math skills while they are on summer vacation.

SLARA partners with Wildwind Equestrian Center for a variety of equestrian classes. Wildwind was awarded the Observer Newspaper Best Stable for 6 years in a row and it is right here in South Lyon! Wildwind Equestrian Center is owned by head trainer Vikki Gartner and business manager Cindy Richards. The USA Hockey Arena is a multi-purpose arena in Plymouth Township. Originally known as Compuware Sports Arena, it was renamed to USA Hockey Arena in 2015 when the USA Hockey Foundation purchased the arena. They offer both Learn to Skate (ages 3 and up) and Learn to Play Hockey (ages 6 and up). Beginner skaters are introduced to the basic skating technique in a safe and controlled environment. Each class session is progressive, building upon skills taught in the previous session. Hockey students will be evaluated during the first class and divided into groups based on skill level and age. Emphasis will be on stick handling, passing and shooting. Must have proper hockey equipment.

Live Safe Academy, LLC is an approved Criminal Justice Training Provider for the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards. Their experienced, dedicated staff consists of law enforcement officers, attorneys, military personnel, registered nurses, and professional educators and trainers. All of their instructors are certified through nationally recognized organizations. They specialize in real-world training that saves lives, including first-aid, assault, and crime prevention, unarmed self-defense and the use of personal protection devices.

The sessions end with a culminating performance where parents, friends, and family can come see the tools and skills as well as scenes, songs and dances that the students will learn. Tumble Bunnies! Each of their programs promotes confidence, self-esteem, coordination, courage & FUN for every child. Their unique style of teaching encourages learning and bubbles energetically with non-stop activity. Each of their positive, enthusiastic and energetic programs consists of age appropriate, unique lesson plans that enable successful learning through physical and mental movement. They offer Music classes for ages 3 - 7, Karate for ages 3 - 12, and Zumba for ages 3 - 12.
